The Chattanooga Bank and Trust Building at 8th and Broad will be remodeled in a $24 mil project.

Key features:

The 11-story landmark at Broad and Eighth streets will hold 142 hotel rooms along with a dozen condominiums

The building, constructed in the mid-1920s, will be kept as original as possible

Plans are to revamp the Chattanooga Bank building to meet Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Platinum standard

Rone Regency may stay

Developer states it is a good project because hotel market in Chattanooga is still strong, and VW and Alstom projects will help create demand
