Main Street Award

There didn't appear to be a suitable thread for this link so I'm starting a new one. The American Planning Association named Main Street as one of the 10 best streets in America. Here's the link to the article from their website which shows all the categories and their recipients.

This is a great award for the City! I think it should be very encouraging to receive awards for such hard work.

On top of the 2003 Great American Main Street Award, this is a fantastic set of accomplishments!

Another great possible award for Greenville. Falls Park is a top six finalist for a design award given by the Urban Land Institute as the best public space to spur surrounding development. The best part is the fact that 1. Greenville is the only city from the South as a top six finalist and 2. the other cities are major US cities. The other five cities are: Boston, Pittsburgh, New York, Seattle and Detroit. Here is the article from the Greenville News:
