Could the Big East be moving to Hartford?

I wonder how much of a possibility this really is. I would love to see the Big East relocate to Hartford. I hope our state officials are actively pursuing this.

Conference officials already have checked out sites in New York, Tampa, and Hartford as possible relocations.

Bottom line?

The Big East could be out of Rhode Island.

Crossing my fingers, it would make sense though. Tampa seems an odd spot, but NYC would be a good spot too...

I'm actually thinking that NYC would have the inside track due to the Men's Basketball tourney being at MSG and the new Bowl the Big East will be affiliated with being located at Yankee Stadium...

They do have the edge in that regard and I'm sure that some of other schools may feel some type of way about the HQ moving to UConn's home base.....

Hartford would be a perfect fit for the Big East..... Add to that were a bigger market than Providence. UCONN basketball is huge here, so it only stands to reason.
