VW Supplier Park

VW announced in a press conference that 15 companies will be located in the Supplier Park next to the plant. More announcements expected.

Frank Fischer, Chattanooga VW President has announced 9 firms will locate in the Supplier Park, creating "hundreds" of jobs. However, he declined to mention any names.

He also announced that a distribution center may be built for the plant, if built it will be located within 20 miles.

Financing has been secured for supplier park. VW wxpects to announce occupants by end of January.

Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics will run the rail yard for VW.

Faurecia (EMCON) front and rear exhaust system - 35 jobs

Magna Exteriors and Interiors - front and rear fascia - 25 jobs

MTEK - headliners and door panels - 40 jobs

Thyssen Krupp - front and rear axle, corner module - 90 jobs

Wheel supplier - 25-30 jobs*

Logistics services - 130-140 jobs.*
