AMc 0 Report post Posted March 27, 2010 Trolley Barns to get new life. Will this be the catalyst that this area needs? As the economy starts to swing back I feel like this will area heat up and either lead or be a big competitor to the other developing urban neighborhoods. I'm quite fond of this area, probably a slight bias because I was born in the old Hospital. Either way this area has brighter days in its future.
nashvillwill 1672 Report post Posted March 29, 2010 nice find. this is good news. i think that was part of the original RMH plan, which (as far as i can tell) seems to be dead.
MTSUBlueraider86 30 Report post Posted June 18, 2010 I think this is a great idea. The whole Rolling Mill Hill development was a fiasco and a great disappointment. I expected a thriving city up on that hill by now. With the whole Sounds Struever Brothers plan busting, it really hurt the city and contributed to hundreds of millions of dollars of lost revenue. Maybe when this really gets going, it will bring some development to the old thermal site but as I have learned in my 47 years, Nashville moves at a snails pace compared to other cities. MTSUBlueraider86 30 Report post Posted November 20, 2010 Nothing in a long while. This recession and down economy has stopped most of everything, or at least delayed it. BR86
timmay143 1044 Report post Posted November 21, 2010 Hmm...I see. I figured most are a wait and see or dead state. Just dreaming about all the cool proposals back in the middle of the decade. Amazing what five years can do.

producer2 60 Report post Posted November 30, 2010 where and what are these trolley barns? i live really close to this area off lindsley and can't, for the life of me, pick these things out? eric b On the Southeast side of Hermitage Ave. just pst the KVB bridge, and across the street from Crema. There is a big parking lot in front and the barns sit closer to the river.

jice 15 Report post Posted August 19, 2011 R.C. Mathews is starting on interior demo at the Trolley Barns on Rolling Mill Hill. The $1.4 million permit includes 33, 35 and 37 Peabody St. and 9 and 11 Lea Ave., but specifically not 41 Peabody. The permit is very clear. http://nashvillepost.com/news/2011/8/5/permit_patrol_5_august_2011
