Chattanooga has received a $1,723,601 Federal Grant to extend the Riverwalk from Ross's Landing near the Aquarium along the river to MLK Blvd followed by W. 19th Street, then turn away from the river toward a Trail Head to Finley Stadium and First Tennessee Pavalion.

City and County will each contribute $215,450.

The new section will go through the planned Cameron Hill (Cameron Harbor?) development and Alstom Plant.

Extensions are expected to be extended along MLK and to Main St.

Alstom and Lyndhurst Foundation will probably contribute additional funds to further enhance landscaping, and extensions.

December 2011 target completion.

Long Range plans connect existing River Park to North and South Chickamauga Creeks and Lookout Mountain Trails.
