I don't understand the NIMBYism. I could understand when they wanted to put the methadone clinic in a neighborhood a few years ago. (I forgot what area of town that was.) This is a bus depot. It is sales revenue. It is tax revenue. It's 125,000+ people coming to Nashville a year. I don't get what they are upset about, unless they don't want what they think or perceive to be as people that ride the bus like blacks, latinos, working class, lower middle class, immigrants etc... coming through their neighborhood. Well, I have news for them. Bus riders are all over the racial, ethnic, and economic spectrum. This NIMBYism sounds like racism to me.

I remember as a kid that the Greyhound station in my hometown had a restaurant. Then it moved to a suburban location with no restaurant and now interestingly enough back to having a restaurant. Funny how things change they become the same as they were in the fifties and sixties.
