"Port to Revisit Embarcardero Plan"

The long-delayed $228 million North Embarcadero Visionary Plan for San Diego's bayfront goes back before the San Diego Unified Port District Tuesday with two choices: Pause and update the port plan or move forward with Phase 1 after making a few tweaks.

The options will be discussed at the port's regular board meeting at 1 p.m. Tuesday at port headquarters, 3165 Pacific Highway.

In April the California Coastal Commission deadlocked 5-5 on the $28 million first phase of the plan to improve landscaping and public access along Harbor Drive from the B Street Pier Cruise Ship Terminal to Broadway Pier. The tie was tantamount to rejection
