SouthPark Mall

^^Thanks D.S., that is kinda what I figured. I of course can't say too much about Ferragamo's women's shoes or ready to wear, and I like some of the styles for guys, but for some reason I really prefer Gucci (when I can ever afford it).

As far as Anne Fontaine of Paris, she of course specializes in women's blouses (almost all come in white) and a few odd and end accessories, oh but yeah they are by no means cheap. When you buy a blouse for that special girl, they wrap it in the Anne Fontaine tissue, put a ribbon around it, and then spray this ocean breeze like scent into the bag and around the tissue paper. Talk about the royal treatment!

Two disclaimers: 1) I apologize if what I am about to say has already been touched on. 128 pages of posts is a little daunting. 2) I know Philips Place isn't South Park mall, but it's close enough... right?

There's a new Brooks Brothers going in at Philips place, a big one at that. This should seem mundane and uninteresting for two reasons. First there is a Brooks Brothers less than half a mile away in the mall. Second, though Brooks Brothers provides quality merchandise at a (somewhat) reasonable price, it isn't exactly fashion forward. But, the same brand opening two stores in close proximity made me wonder. Could Brooks Brothers be carrying its higher end Black Fleece line at the Philips Place store?

So this is a pretty big head scratcher for me, but I've had renderings passed to me on three projects in southpark, Circle Piedmont, 6000 Carnegie BLVD, and the New target, and a I am supposed to get one for Ashley Park as well. Does it seem odd to anyone else that we have something like 900 mulitfamily units proposed in the area.

591 apartments/condos, 500k of office space, 15k of retail

post-17104-0-58407200-1298919664_thumb.j 136k target, 50k other retail, and above retail condos.

Medical Office Space and 300 apartments. I guess Cresent liked the success they had in Southend.

Looks like the area around the maersk building is slated to be quite urban in a couple years.

Well apartments are in high demand in sp, especially at a price point that circle is known for. I was amazed to find out that the outrageously expensive residence at sp is 94% leased

Renderings suggest a regular target, as does square footage. But regular targets are offering a bigger selection of groceries.

Oh yeah haha. I thought I saw someone say that it was a Super Target but there haven't been many posts in topics I'm interested in lately so I haven't been getting on as much. But yeah it sounds like it will definitely be a larger one.

Lululemon is definitely going in the old Kenneth Cole space. Is Vineyard Vines in the work yet? Or is the placeholder still there? I didn't get around to there yesterday, so I can't say. They had Vineyard Vines on some forms in Belk (that I almost ran into, haha) near the Sharon entrance on level 2 (near the underwear & accessories department), and it didn't look too bad.

Lululemon Athletica

^^ Speaking of underwear, that made me think for some reason: whatever happened to that Fredrick's of Hollywood store?. If not mistaken, I don't think any mall in the ATL have that store anymore. And the time I went to one, OMG!!, I can't believe the parents let the children go in!!:shok:

Dont know how I missed the rendering of the three proposed developments a few post back. For years I always hoped SP would evolve into more of a Buckhead for Charlotte. Now, I really like that it hasn't. I would much rather see buildings no more then 12 or so stories with old european design. That looks to be how SP will now evolve.

Apparently Mori Luggage is opening its first NC store at South Park....Meanwhile, Sharon Luggage has closed.

Sharon Luggage is "the incredible shrinking luggage chain"- it used to have stores even in Greenville, SC (Greenville Mall) and I think Columbia; now it's down to just a few stores. Too bad, since it's a nice chain.

Mori Luggage is fine; there was one even at Haywood Mall in the '80s.
