I HOPE you're only assuming and that your assumption is not correct.

I was there a few days ago and didn't notice any trees cut down.

But then, given the way things have gone around here in the past, it wouldn't surprise me.

I'll be over that way tomorrow I think, so I'll take a look.

Edit: Looking at Google street view, it looks like they did take down one.
