Wadeview has all of the retail as well as Boone and Blankner.   Very underrated especially since it's negative aspects (almost bordering the county to the south...) are becoming better as the city annexes beyond Pineloch.

Being close to Freshfields Farm is never a bad thing.

The new retail strip on Orange and Muriel (east side of Orange) is now vertical.   Nothing overly exciting except that it replaces a tiny car dealership with streetfront retail

I love gas station food!!! 

Don't know if it still does, but the one at Orange and Gore (se corner) used to have great fried chicken and potato wedges, among other tasty tidbits.

It has been discussed on here before, but I don't think I've seen that rendering or the site plan. Surprisingly high density given its surroundings.

The OBJ is the worst.  What the heck is this paragraph: 

Currently, the property is envisioned to have 18 different parcels of land for small shops and several mobile homes. The land is owned by various different entities and is made up of parcels ranging in size from less than half an acre to three acres.

The word "envisioned" throws everything off, it's like OBJ is implying the project vision is... going to be exactly what is currently there! The rest of it is just a mess. Perhaps they've made cuts to their editorial staff?

I'm liking the density here, but I would have hoped they put retail facing Orange instead of parking to create a decent street wall.

it reminds me of the College Park proposal, as it gradually lessens in height the closer it gets to the houses.

Any speculation about anything happening with Holley Garden Apartments on South Orange?  I live near there and would dearly love to see those get bulldozed and a continuation of the type of development happening on Pineloch/Orange just north of there.  There was neighborhood rumors about it being purchase or being turned over to the Feds (HUD).  This complex is currently a blight on our community.

No rumors but it's definitely a blight and creates a gap between everything to the north and the upscale little plaza with floyds and t flats.

Are we talking about the same ones?  The ones south of Carol's Place across from the UHaul?  I mean, even with the Pineloch trailer redevelopment happening, there's still some gaps before you reach those apartments.

I understand that in an episode of How I Met Your Mother, two characters buy an apartment in DoWiSeTrePla, which turns out to be an "acroname" for Downwind of the Sewage Treatment Plant.
