Nashville has done a fair job of reclaiming dead space in the urban core by developing small pocket parks like the two on Church Street; one at 6th Avenue across from the library, and one near the 1800 block of Church Street. Many cities are turning surface parking lots into urban gardens and small agricultural businesses.
