A large boom crane is arriving on site as I type this. I am guessing it is to construct the tower crane but that is just a guess.

After seeing more pieces arrive, it looks like it will be a very large boom crane like you see at stadiums and arenas under construction and not a tower crane.

Wow...I thought it would be a concrete rebar structure. Interesting that's it steel. The good news is that it will rise a lot faster now.

Every project seems to hit me that way...

But yes, most definitely! The view looking in between the Peace Concert Hall and the Gunter Theater is going to be spectacular.

"Steel" as in rebar? Isn't this supposed to be a steel (rebar) reinforced concrete structure? It seems odd that they would be so aggressive about construction (under 12 month timeline) and then decide to change the design after a month of work.

I meant your skepticism about my steel comment was interesting. I knew this project was using steel from the get go. However, it is also concrete in a way that has never been used in Greenville. Should be interesting.

Also, regarding the look of the building...the basic design remains the same. Some of the more artistic features on the exterior have been eliminated.
