Panama City today still has about 30-40 cranes building new towers which is slightly less than the boom years with close to 150 but still growing!

From Tocumen International Airport to Panama City Corredor Sur

In other words every couple of months I go back the city there is a new crane erected! The reason why Panama City has so many skyscrapers is because most of the city is protected rainforest! So the city is pushed to the coast and cannot expand outward!

The later picture is Casco Viejo! The oldest inhabitated city in the west coast of the Americas!
