Birmingham-based development company Inkana has announced plans to build a 5 story, $30M medical tower in the Medical District. Of course, it designed for medical offices. The lack of available office space in the area spurred the new development. The new skywalk will link the building with Huntsville Hospital. Huntsville Times article

As I flew back into HSV a couple weeks ago, I noticed how the medical district looks more like "downtown" than downtown does from the air. There is a much higher density of large buildings.

The medical office building going in on Madison St, on the north side of the side is coming along nicely. It looks like it will be a good looking building, brick exterior, lots of detail. Not just a big glass and steel box.
