buying condo/small home in nashville

Hi

I'm planning on buying a small house or a condo in Nashville soon. The areas I'm looking at are forest hills(house), the area around bowling and woodmont(condo or house), or the 21st ave/vanderbilt area(condo or house)...i'm looking for between 1400-2200 sf, and want to spend 250-450k...

I'll probably be spending most of my time in the green hills area, which seems pretty accessible from all three of these locations. My main concerns are comfort of the area(i like to walk, i like a bit of a slower pace) and how the values in the area will hold up over time...

I'm curious the opinions of others on each of these areas...

Also the condos I've been looking at in the woodmont/bowling area are around $175/sf...does this seem like a fair value considering the current housing market...?

Thanks for any input!
