Need for hotels

I live on the lake and would love to have a hotel in southend or Dilworth where I can stay if and when I decide to do dinner and drinking in those areas. I know there are tons of places uptown, but I don't want to pay at least $100 a night for a descent room that I want to basically for sleeping. Does anyone know if there are any plans for such a place around East Boulevard or Southend?

It would also be nice if there were a motel or hotel in NoDa as well. That is a place to which you have to drive. I hate to depend on a designated drive whenever I go to such places, and I don't like to drive after having a couple. In any case, I wish to hell they would hurry and take care of these issues before I am too old to get around.
