It was a little funny that they used a painting of downtown Greenville in the 1920s or 30s as an illustration. There is the Woodside building (SCN Bank) that was torn down about 30 years ago and the cars on the street are about 90 years old.

People who come here based on that picture may be confused.

Good article though. The author seems to have some personal experience here, judging from her choices of a top 10.

Lonely Planet picked Greenville 7th on their list of 10 best places in the US to visit in 2015.

 

Very nice little article that highlights both the natural beauty of the area and downtown Greenville.
