I found some interesting info on the Earl Swenson site about the first phase of construction;

The first phase of the one C1TY Development consists of two Medical Office Buildings (one four story and one five story) that are connected with a below grade parking garage and an above grade pedestrian bridge.  Retail space fronts each footprint along the street frontage.

The site plan is revealing;

I hadn't seen this before (maybe I wasn't paying attention), but it gives me a little more perspective on where and how big the buildings will be.

Zooming in as best I can on the original aerial rendering, the Swensson description matches the rendering almost exactly, including the overpass, lending credence to the thought that the original renderings are very close to what the final build-out will look like.

Several renderings (if you look in the upper right hand corner of the top picture, that might be a hint of the look of the first buildings).

New retail district to be added at OneC1ty using 21 repurposed shipping containers. Very cool for sure and it will be open during construction of the rest of the project.

"The Carter Group will serve as general contractor, with an end-of-year completion date targeted."

The article will come off the pay wall soon.

Where exactly is this?

The OneC1ty project is where the new 28th/31st street connector and Charlotte Ave come together. It is approx an 18 acre site, that would be on the left if going out of downtown. Will be around the 500 million dollar mark when completed. If you go to the first post there will be more information.

Looks as if the residential portion of this project may start in the spring. The building will be between 12 & 15 stories.

From the Post and behind paywall, but will come off soon.

Apparently there are several unresolved issues creating concerns some of the spaces involving containers in the OneCity project. Project appears to be falling way behind schedule, looking like a mud pie much of the winter.

Have they totally departed from the original render/site plan? It looks as if from the Post's aerial photo, the construction of the container sheds and the TOA facility are radically off from the original render.
