A couple weeks ago I noticed that there appears to be some upfitting in the now closed Augusta/Faris fire station. Does anyone know what is going on?

As for what is going in at the site, Ted Lyerly with NAI Earle Furman reached out with an update on Wednesday. Lyerly said Sherwin Williams will open a new store on the ground floor and use the top floor for their regional office.

Lyerly added they will demolish the existing Sherwin Williams building and b a new 2,800 square foot retail building in its place to match the architectural style of the rest of the shopping center.

Lyerly said they will also remove the back fence and connect the parking lot to Augusta Street to provide better parking and traffic flow. He said they hope to lease the new building “to a very cool tenant,” probably in 2022.
