the 24.4 million dollar education buliding is complete and open.

construction has started on the 21.5 million dollar new recreation and wellness center.

the center will have, A lazy river, indoor swimming pool,volley ball and racquetball courts,dining services(food court)basketball courts,indoor track,golf simulator and gaming stations,weight rooms etc.

one of the most interesting is it will have a 4 lane bowling alley.

also plans are being made to add more residents halls next to the center.

Lyman,Davidson Dooley,Inc is the architect of the Recreation and Wellness Center

Wakefield Beasley & Associates is the architect for the student housing.

Chris R.Sheridan is the G.C. for both.

Macon State new President also mentioned the return of intecollegiate sports to MSC.

also brought MSC becoming Georgia's next major comprehensive University.

Board of Regents might merge Middle Georgia College with Macon State College.Along with 6 others.

Middle Georgia College to merge with Macon State College.should take 12-18 months.

Macon State College has submitted plans to the board of regents for 4 Masters Degree programs it wants to offer.

The Developement Authority of Bibb County agreed to issue up 40 million in Revenue Bonds.MSC will use the money to help fund a 250 bed student housing facility and a 80,000 sf Recreation an Wellness Center.
