After six years on television, "Nashville" will ride off into the sunset next year.  Lionsgate Television Group announced Friday that the show's upcoming sixth season will be its last, with the series finale airing in the summer of 2018.

Yeah...once they moved over to CMT with new producers, they started getting more political and way less "Nashville" and made it even more soap-opera-ish.  Good riddance.

Well there is a new show called 'Music City' based on the Hills coming to town next year if anyone is interested (probably will fail though lol).

To be honest I dont feel like this is bad news for Nashville just because in my opinion the show was getting too tacky, and the  city now feels like it has matured into itself

A Happy and Blessed Thanksgiving to you too Mark, and to all my UP friends.  You are all welcome at my table today.  Just let me know before you drop by first so we can make more candied yams with serrano chiles, balsamic roasted parsnips, lamb biryani, sweet corn pudding, baked ziti, taters n turkey gravy, puerto rican style pastelón, chimichurri grilled red snapper, cranberry chutney, grilled ribeye with yorkshire puddings, deviled eggs, cheese and papaya empanadas, kentucky style derby pie and chess pie and bathtub beer.  Just kidding on that last one.  I get my beer from someone elses bathtub, like any sophisticated modern day human would... and yes, we like our startch.

are you puerto rican?

This design looks familiar haha

HOLLYWOOD, FL—Designed to resemble back-to-back guitars, with guitar faces, necks and brightly lit guitar strings that reach 450 ft. into the sky on both sides, the Hard Rock guitar tower is under construction as part of a $1.5-billion expansion of Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, Hollywood. It is the flagship destination of the Hard Rock International empire owned by the Seminole Tribe of Florida.

From Bloomberg: Shortage of homes in the U.S. expected to ease over the next 3 years. The article opines this might eventually have a moderating affect on home prices. In the meantime....... Embedded in the article is a list of the projected highest appreciating housing markets for 2018. No. 1 is Nashville -- projected at +7.7%.

If the federal tax plan is passed there will be a glut of homes in the more expensive areas as the Home interest and tax deductions will be eliminated. This will be or could be devastating to the economy. Many people that own homes will be dumping them into the markets as some of these deduction are 10s of thousands. More of an issue in the larger higher taxed metro areas, but here may not be as bad. Only speculation here on my part.

There could be a number of folks from the large metro areas moving into the smaller Metros such as Nashville, Austin, Charlotte, because of affordability.

This is slightly incorrect. The senates plan keeps the million dollar limit of mortgage tax deduction. The tax plan should be moderately stimulative in the short term nationwide . It could have slightly negative consequence to Nashville due to the individual mandate repeal being included and Nashville havingsuch a large Hospital ownership presence. The tax deduction should have A slight positive effect as you mentioned, as we are an extremely low property tax county relative to others nationwide.
