Great to see you had the tour master (KJHburg). Always great to see a face with a name as it makes it much more real. Many folks post without ever thinking there is a real person behind the post. Such is the nature of the internet.

I really hope you got a good education about Nashville while you have been here. 

Also anytime we have friends from the Charlotte forum come to Nashville, they will get the red carpet treatment here with a tour to boot. If Mark is not available I can be as well. We enjoy showing our city off.

I saw a couple of signs on my drive through downtown this morning.

 Charlotte Ave. in downtown is now Dr. M. L. King (Blvd?).

And the Moore office building in Midtown has a sign up with a rendering and a coming soon notice.

May have missed previous posts about these, but noting it anyway.

It was a regular green street sign at 11th in front of the HCA tower.

I knew it was proposed, but I'm surprised it happened so quickly.

Nice, I think that makes it an official re-naming rather than an "honorary" one (like 5th Avenue/Predators Way).

San Fran-based NomNomNow pet food producer will locate a new production facility in Davidson County that will produce 181 jobs. No address of the facility released yet.

What's funny is that someone bringing in 181 jobs to our area seems like such a yawner these days...but these add up...and they used to be headline-grabbing.  Shows how much this city has exploded.

This is somewhat random but i read in the GAWC world cities study that Nashville has moved up to a Gamma tier north american world city from high sufficiency. This also was in early 2018 before the start of  alliance bernstein, british airways, nfl draft, ernst and young, amazon etc...

The Mars pet food presence here is massive.  Hill's Science Diet has a plant in Bowling Green, KY.  There may be other plants nearby I don't know about.

I think city council enjoys that the state capitol will now have an address of 600 Dr. MLK Jr Blvd. I know I do.
