Nashville Bits and Pieces

I think it would be a catastrophe, it goes against not only the business model for the bars, but for Nashville.  The point isn't to be a captive customer at one bar, it's Broadway as an environment.  We just need to expand the pedestrian/bicycle/scooter space there and around the city, and develop more low-key areas for other forms of entertainment throughout downtown.

I think SoBro would be a great place to develop an alternative entertainment district.

This is a great point. Does anyone know the status of the whole scooter thing? If we carve out a couple of good protected routes to get north-south and east-west and allocate a few parking spaces here and there for scooter storage that could be an incredible way to improve circulation around downtown. Would TDOT allow real bike lanes on broadway? Would the honky tonk owners get out their pitchforks as usual?

"The next vote is scheduled for Tuesday, July 17, and third reading, for Aug.7. If passed, scooters could be back on the roads by mid-August. "

They put forward a second substitute bill on the 17th and deferred it, so it will be some time before we see them. I suspect that we will see some more public meetings in particular districts. I also suspect that as soon as we pass this, Lime will come in and take over the city (in a good way).

Are the Bird scooters gone? I could have sworn I saw one whizzing past 312 pizza co. in Germantown earlier. I’ve been temporarily working a night shift since early July so I could have just completely missed all the scooters being removed.

Between $650 and $1100 for Bird comparable scooters.

Yeah...pretty sure it's along the interstate before you get down to Miami.  I remember seeing the casino on the drive down there.

As far as it being built in Nashville...I really don't know where we could put it without it looking tacky.  Maybe out at Opryland?
