Yes---major storm.  Lots of damage.  No word yet on loss of life.  Just started a thread for it.

Those look to be M88A1 recovery vehicles, not combat vehicles.  I don't think there are any tracked units at FTCKY, but maybe one of the combat service support units has these.  Probably going to Knox or further north, or being returned to a National Guard or Reserve depot.

That's sort of what I was thinking too. The equipment past the bridge looked to be earth moving equipment as well.

Tesla is considering the Nashville area for a gigafactory that would make the electric automaker’s Cybertruck, as well as Model Y models for the East Coast.

I would imagine this would be outside Davidson, maybe in Rutherford/Wilson counties.

1000 acres is quite the chunk of land, with possible expansion around it. Doesn't leave many places to look does it?

The old Nashville Superspeedway in Wilson/Rutherford is  just under 1,400 acres, and I believe the new owners have sold only 150 or so for industrial development.  As far as I know, the rest is still up for grabs.  It would be an ideal location for something like this.

We definitely have the automotive construction infrastructure that could help us attract a factory like this.  Just knowing that the region has nearly 40 years of building this infrastructure and the knowledge to make it successful with thousands of workers familiar with automotive construction...and a city on the rise with good living standards...would have to be a plus.  Just need good land within an hour's drive of Nashville.

Yes!  With that nice exit off I-840...and even the racetrack could be a test-track for Tesla (?)...would be a perfect fit.  Close to I-40 and I-24...30 minutes to Nashville...workers could live in Nashville, M'boro, Smyrna, Mt. Juliet, Lebanon, etc.

I think the Army Armor School was moved from Knox to Benning several years ago.

Cloud One out of Vancouver, Washington has the opening of a new call center in Nashville that will create 320 new jobs.  CloudOne provides auto dealerships with customer service infrastructure to facilitate new and used car sales. 

CloudOne will locate its future local operations in a building called The Oaks, located at 1101 Kermit Drive in South Nashville.

While I definitely agree they need a shot in the arm (especially after losing ConAgra), that area is pretty hilly, so building something that large will be quite a bit more expensive. I'd say the Mt Juliet side of 840 would be a better fit. Plus much closer to the airport.

Plus...you're not far from Smyrna airport...and there may be a way to tie in a railroad spur like Nissan did on that side of town.

Very good point. The logistics are really good to build something like that there. They better hurry up though, there's a new warehouse on 840 going up seemingly everyday. The first truck stop is going up on 840 @ Couchville Pike too!
