The Nashville Tractor guy, Michael Winters, runs a very good business and I don't know why his company was dropped.  His wagons have less loud music and aren't out on the streets late at night.  By my experience, the Upstate Party Bus people are loud and run late at night.  That owner is throwing his employees in front of his bad behavior by suggesting "We can do what we want because we want our employees to have jobs."  That logic makes no sense.

One nice thing about the old embossed-metal plates was that the technology forced a degree of simplicity on the designer. Now states can clutter the plate with garish backgrounds and unnecessary mottoes and URLs.

I read that the In God We Trust is optional.  In my opinion it should not be on one unless someone chooses it.  Separation of Church and State is still critical to me.

Check your US paper money and coins.  That phrase is on all of it.  It's also on many court houses and gov buildings.  I think it's just a cultural momentum thing.

Yeah, I'm not religious in the least and that phrase doesn't bother me one bit.  As you said, I consider it more of a cultural thing.  

As for the new license plate "design"... well... I think using the word design at all is incredibly generous.  It's like someone designed them on Microsoft Word 97.

The new car license plates look like what they are-metal ID badges for our cars. I’m going to bolt one of those designs on the back of my vehicle, not frame it and hang it over the fireplace! I prefer the blue ones just because we seem to have had white for at least the last half century, but it really doesn’t matter to me which design is selected.

Indianapolis Colt's owner, Jim Irsay, is looking at Nashville as a possible location for a new museum that would house his extensive collection of sports, music, and historical artifacts, purportedly one of the largest private collections in the nation.  He is also considering New York and LA.

I think he is using Nashville as leverage to get it built in Indianapolis. I haven't done much research, but I think he is asking for taxpayer money. This museum would be great, but no taxpayer $ should go towards it IMO.

Indy may be willing to give him taxpayer money for this but Nashville is rich in tourist attractions and would not be willing, I hope.

What mystery tower. I remember the game mystery date in the 60’s and thought of all the stupid little girls that got that for Christmas. And that was the 9 or 10 year old thinking.

One of my sources said that, compared to the string of announcements over the past several months, there's at least another 50% coming.  This mirrors what @smeagolsfree has said - there is another big wave coming.  We are watching!

I will say there are around 30 more buildings +/- that have not started in the Gulch that I know about. There may be more coming. Some we have heard that were postponed are maybe coming back to life, and there are others that may be in the planing stages. Some we do not know about and I am just  sniffing at, like a dog sniffs at a buried bone.

Remember what is considered the Gulch though. It runs along and close to the tracks, so trace the tracks!!!!

I sort of did. Count of the number of possible cranes up by this time next year and we could be close to 50, but timing is everything as you know. I do feel good that we will break 40 which will be a record. Now this is cranes up at the same time. The cranes will run from the East Bank all through the Downtown, The Gulch, Midtown, and West End.
