How do that not make this a giant digital billboard?? Advertise the movies and events.. seems like a no-brainer

Yes, but I was just thinking  colored architectural up lighting. But banners and advertising would be interesting. The next Star Wars, or influential Grand  Rapidians. I just don’t want this to be a gaudy billboard on the highway, what is this a casino?

You must have missed the other thread that discusses this in detail.

Do we know if the theater will have eye popping signage or does the billboard law (mentioned earlier) also effect the front of the theater?

For instance, a version of this:

Sneak peek showing at the theater on 09/24 for downtown residents. Would imagine this means open to the public 09/27?

I sure hope so, newer developments seem to be lacking in the signage around here, ie 20 Monroe. I’ve noticed many new movie theaters in CAli have really cool retro signage.

I noticed at least 2 small “Studio Park” signs on the parking garage today, but didn’t get a chance to take a picture.

There's one on the north side of the parking garage that stares you down as you head south on the S curve.

Have they finished the Ottawa Avenue extension?

It's all paved and the street amenities are in place, but it isn't open to traffic yet. They're still using it as a staging area for the construction.

Walking along Oaks this weekend, I noticed two things. One, the ramp, set back, looks hideous and boring. I felt like I was at some lousy suburban office park. Good news is I know it's only temporary  because the office portion will go up soon.

Secondly, the apartments look great, but I feel like awning covering parts of the sidewalk would make that street even more organic. As it is, its just a brick and glass wall with little variation.

Outside that, I love what this project is doing to that neighborhood

The plaza is finished and landscaped now. I saw a picture of "staff training" for Celebration Cineman on social media the other day.
