They were adding sections to the crane today.

Call me crazy, but when I drove by today, it actually looked like it was significantly LOWER than it was before I left a week and a half ago for the Caribbean.

Could someone contribute a photo for comparison? I can't go see it in person seeing as how I'm all the way out here in Japan. :shades:

(but for real I do want to see the progress)

Nice! A bit behind schedule! I thought they had said they’d have 8 floors up by the end of 2022. But excited to see the progress (I’d imagine it’ll start to rise quickly pretty soon.).

I thought I'd be clever and drive to the top of the Studio Park ramp. I didn't make it, and ended up with a lousy photo. Also had to go into the theater to pay for parking, so it ended up being quite a hassle for this:

As @Cookin_peacocks said, it's above the Acrisure building. I don't see any steel on site. Does that mean they are going with concrete? Seems like they are at the point of floors going up soon (although I think the first couple of floors are the trickiest with the foundation and pool going in first).

Yea, this one went the concrete route.

That's gonna take a while to build, no?

I beliieve 601 Bond was concrete, and once they got going on the repeatable levels (which I would imagine would be the residential floors above the lobby/pool), it went pretty quickly. So I would imagine it will start to move quick pretty soon.

Wasn’t the Residence Inn at Ionia and Fulton all precast?  That seemed to move pretty quickly once they got rolling.

It was. I think this building might go vertical even faster as the Residence Inn was all pre-cast / they completed an entire level (floor + exterior) before moving to the next. This has a glass facade. But like you said, it went up very quickly once they got past the first two floors.

Interesting angle. Can't wait to see how this changes the skyline as it goes up. Also, I imagine that the apartment levels will be very similar, so maybe it'll go much faster from here on out (I'm sure the first two floors were complex + prep work for the entire building.

Joe

First two floors are going to be like for a pool and likely lobby and other things. Though I'm pretty sure a small lobby already exists on Oakes next to Acrisure
