Vacant Building Tax Credit

Believe it or not, the South Carolina legislature might actually produced legislation of value. The House of Representatives passed a bill that would give tax credits to reuse vacant buildings. If passed, the credit would allow for a 25% income tax break if $500,000 or more is invested in revitalizing a vacant building.

I personally think that $500,000 is a little high. If it were lowered you might see more of an effect in smaller towns.
