1940's photos of Nashville - Location?

Any guesses where this first photo was taken? There are a couple landmarks/clues visible. I haven't figured it out. Notice the spires in the back, and the CB Ragland signage.

I believe that photo would have been taken from Hermitage Avenue near the old General Hospital site and the old trolley barns. I think the two spires are the Customs House and First Baptist Church.

^Yes, that's on 1st right above the junction with Hermitage almost exactly where the Korean Veterans Pkwy runs through. Virtually all the buildings except for the warehouse ("Colonial Coffee") have since been demolished. The warehouse building (which is on 2nd) has been considerably remodeled. Those are the Customs House & First Baptist Church in the distance.
