Roanoke is an up and coming city. Both Lynchburg and Roanoke are located on proposed Interstate routes (I-73/74 and I-785) because of the future interstate access, these two cities will likely see more rapid growth in the future. Both these cities are sleeping giants. Roanoke has the picturesque mountain scenery and Lynchburg is a river city. People love to live near mountains and they love to live near rivers. All these cities need now are the interstates to help bring the jobs and become prospering cities.

I am always amazed with all those smaller cities that have a nice urban fabric. Virginia and Pennsylvania have some real gems in that department.

Just think how great this country would look without all of the excessive sprawl. I'm very impressed with VA. You wouldn't happen to have any of Norfolk would you? I've been wanting to see that city.
