Leasing & Property Transfers in Downtown/West End vicinity

193 posts in this topic

I thought it would be good to keep a separate thread, for existing space being leased or land/property changing hands.

200 N. Main is the building formerly occupied by Atlanta Bread Company, soon to be occupied by Charleston Cooks!

Greenville, South Carolina (May 2012): David Feild, CCIM and Tyson Smoak of NAI Earle Furman represented the landlord of 200 N. Main Street in leasing a 2,459 SF office space in downtown Greenville.

This is the property that Hughes bought near the future Reedy River Park. It appears that this is within the future park's footprint.

Greenville, South Carolina (May 2012): Earle Furman, SIOR and Alexi Papapieris of NAI Earle Furman represented the seller of 78 Mayberry Street in selling 3.95 acres of land.

This is from the new issue of the Journal.  I can't figure out what building this is:

Tyson Smoak represented United Community Bank Inc. in leasing a 3,313 square foot office at 40 Broad St., Greenville.

With that leasing, the building is now 100% full.

That's great.  Aughtery built during the worst part of the downturn, and it provided a major project going up even during that time. I'm glad that it turned out well for them.  Hopefully, they are looking for their next project, since that one is full,

Greektown Grill is the new venture by the former owners of Carolina Grill on Woodruff.  Apparently their taxes at that location were much too high and they're expecting this downtown location to be more viable.  Let's see if they'll be more successful than Kozani was with Greek food on Main Street.

It's great to see some more leases consuming space in McBee Station. A new apartment development across McBee Avenue would help sustain these businesses, but also it'd be very attractive place to live, being on the edge of the Pettigru district and across from Publix. I'm not sure why we haven't seen this happen yet.

I think the city should eliminate the roundabout off Church to McBee. That would free up some room to put a housing complex.

I also think the area under the Church street bridge is under utilized. Im thinking something like the new overpass bridge in Atlanta where they put a parking garage under it. That would free up alot of parking lot land in the area.

I'm not sure it you are making a joke, but it is probably a temp or overflow space for HSB. It's only 1,600 SF.

Ignore what I said. I read the square footage wrong. Thought it said 16,000 square feet. Sorry about that.

The US Government (GSA) has bought the Wells Fargo drive thru branch on E. North St. in  Downtown.

Apparently the new courthouse will cover not only the E. North-Irvine-Coffee-Spring block but also the block of Irvine from Coffee to North St. and the land used by the Wells Fargo branch.
