Bert Roper, 88, Dies

This was very sad to see. The Ropers were one of the pioneering citrus families in Orange County; despite that, Bert and his wife, Barbara, were as friendly as could be. They were among the prime movers in rehabilitating downtown Winter Garden and incredibly active in both the arts and service organizations in OC. We have lost one of the grand old gentlemen of the region.
