New regulations will be enacted to encourage more downtown lofts...

Rewrite standards to accommodate mixed-use and neo-traditional and infill development in the style in which much of Kansas City was developed.

Modify parking requirements to support conversion of downtown buildings to residential units by use of on-street and shared parking

Enact ordinances to protect environmentally sensitive natural features such as streams and trees and landscaping.

Simplify the regulatory approval process through administrative approval where possible and enhance the public notification and participation process.
