It did...Also at the region's other large lake...Lake Wylie, was the nationally televised BASS Masters Tourney....a guy from Japan took home the $250K top prize.

Its been rumored the NCDOT is going to replace the fence on that stretch of I-77 in case more "shows" appear on the highway.

Actually last weekend there were a lot of backups caused by gawkers looking a the whitecaps on the lake caused by the high winds.

Perhaps the fence could serve a dual purpose of catching any boats whose owners decide to try and jump the interstate.

I hope they don't reinstate the fence. I love driving past the lake when you finally make it back to Meck County after a long drive.
