I am not sure of the total seating capacity of the stadium 22-23K but it should be noted the stadium was also build with little public money. Basically the city provided the land, and moved some roads and utilities.

 Good guess. :P

The official seating capicity for an NFL game is 73,248.

The name change is so new, that erricson is still on the outside of the stadium. The change occured towards the end of last year's football schedule when Erricson, who is in financial trouble, declined to renew its naming rights. Hence BofA took over.

While the stadium was being built, as mentioned above, the Panthers played at Clemson. This was a concession to SC as it helped petition the NFL to put a team in Charlotte. Originally the team was going to play at USC in Columbia, but the Columbia City Government started placing so many financial burdens on the team they pulled out an moved to Clemson. That was a huge blow to Columbia and making it worse, Clemson is their arch rival.

Actually all the new BofA stadium signs were put up about a month ago in time for the new season. No Ericcson signs remain.
