Orlando and Jacksonville From Planes

Hi, I left for NYC August 13 at 7 am in the morning. The Orlando International Airport closed at noon. So I am lucky to leave in time. Here are some pics I took from the planes.

Great shots! I flew out of Orlando to Washington DC, that very same day. My plane was the last to leave the airport at 1:40PM. Here's a shot of the American Airlines Terminal gates after Hurricane Charley came through.

Wow, the pic of the terminal is wild. Definately a first in seeing something like that in an airport. Otherwise the photos from the air were great! I love seeing cities from above for some reason.

What did they decide to do with that.

*Gags* I dislike Delta/Song Airlines. Ugh. Just a personal opinion but I was just uncomfortable there, both times I've been unfortunate enough to be on a Song plane.

Great shots of Jacksonville! I can almost make out my school under the green Hart bridge (first picture with the bridge closest to the plane).

They've made it a new urbanism project called Baldwin Park. Its similar to Celebration in ways, though the City of Orlando worked closely with the developers to design it after Orlando's "old" neighborhoods like Thornton Park and Eola Heights. Its looking pretty good so far. The downtown area has yet to open.
