With a skyline of this size, u would think Miami should have a very vibrant downtown but sadly, it is not the case. South Beach gets all the urbanity.

I forgot my tripod. The pano will look better if I have the tripod.

The 8th pictures was taken on a bridge to the light house.

The last pic was taken at Watson Island. American Arena is all lite up because of the MTV video music award.

That looks like its taken on a bridge over the Miami River, west of downtown, near the Orange Bowl.

correct. Actually more northwest. I recognize the view, just can't remember where exactly. 12th ave?

In volume, the Miami River is the 4th largest port in Florida. They take in a lot of smaller vessels from the carribean that can't unload at the larger ports. It's not uncommon to see a small freighter chugging up the river loaded to the top with bicycles, tires or appliances headed towards Haiti, Jamaica, Belize, etc.
