this is actually also a jewish thing. i have a jewish aunt who had to make sure she had lots of milk one day for a gathering of her relatives.

I heard the funniest thing today. Walking down Smith St. in front of DD, I heard a woman say to the guy at the drive-thru, " I wanted my cawwfee on the dahhhk side. This is regulah." I thought Anakin Skywalker was seduced by the dahhk side but apparently RI'ers are as well with their coffee.
