The beautiful Carlyle will break ground possibly in October. Opus and the City of Minneapolis have said if The Carlyle reached 50% occupancy (it's over 70%) they would pursue plans to build a possible 50 story condo/hotel on the long dormant Nicollet block by the Fifth Street Towers.

thats long dead; a hotel/office scheme was proposed and about to happen and then 9/11 dashed that. right now its the 42 story condo only tower proposed for the site.
