Update: JT Townsend was chosen to have a surgery that will install a machine in his diaphram that will allow him to breathe without a ventilator. It is amazing because only a few people in his state are able to have this done.

Sorry I haven't been posting for a while. I have been getting adjusted to college life at UNCC. I am up here studying architecture and its pretty fun. Here is an update on JT:

- He had a pacemaker put in his chest to pump his lungs so that he can breathe without the vent. 1 of 17 to have it put in.

- He can slightly move his arms which something the doctor said that he would not be able to do

- He graduated from high school and now is attending UNF studying computer technology

It has been almost a year now and please continue to keep the Townsend family in your prayers.

It will be a year from this weekend, October 8

Here is a list of what JT has accomplished in that span!

-he can talk again

-he is able to eat well

-he can feel his entire body

-he can move his neck and move his shoulders with limited movements in his biceps and hands

-he is 1 of 17 to have a pacemaker put in his chest so that he can breathe without the vent

-he broke the record of being off the vent for 24 hours the fastest

-he graduated high school

-his basketball and football jerseys were retired

-he is attending UNF

-he is looking healthy

So much has been achieved thanks to all of you...

There is a long way to go and remember him this weekend
