That is neat how the building is used and the similarites toward Jacksonville.

Yeah, but is still looks more like a monument rather than a pedestrian  friendly place that people will want to go to.  I am surprised the city would allow them to propose something designed the way this arena appears to be designed as there are plenty of examples of how designs such as this, destroy the immediate area around it.

This is a rough idea not a final rendering, but this image shows street vendors and sidewalk tables, and the arena will also be home to the NCAA basketball hall of fame, so it will not be in use only during a game. Plus the soon-to-be-constructed power and light entertainment district will begin directly across the street.
