Columbia Homeless Services Facility

That seems to be a semi controversial issue. Part of the problem is that it is only for men. Homeless women don't really have anywhere to go. The other side of that- there just arent that many homeless women in Columbia. Another problem is that Shop Rd is a haven for tailgaters during football games, and that might be an issue. I think its generally a good idea. Hopefully being located out that way will encourage these people to get cleaned up and to get the motivation to get back into the work force.

So what does the tailgating spot have to do with homeless people? :)

I didn't see any there...and I'm not sharing beer with homeless people lol ;)

Thats because they haven't moved it there yet :P

They think that if it moves there, the homeless people might harass/ panhandle amongst the tailgaters.
