Restoration of historic buildings boosts local economy

One thing that would help Charleston achieve that goal is to have a more connected urban area. Growth is basicly straight up 26, and not as much in the areas like James Island (yet) and the northern areas of Mounrt Pleasant. It would also benefit Charleston to revitialize the area around and north of 17 in Charleston and North Charleston. These areas have decayed as a result of the sprawl to the north.
