Even though Allan already posted two for the weekend, I figured I might as well share one of mine. I just happened to be looking through old pics from last summer and this one caught my attention. I guess because it really doesn't say "Detroit" at all. I can't even think of the name of the district let alone provide a brief essay like with some of Allan's posts... so here it is. :)

The courtyard Marriot is in the shorter of the 2 buildings and the larger one is apartments. There is even a park for the apartments that sits on top of the parking garage that has some tennis courts and a running track. What makes me laugh is that the fence surrounding the tennis court (you can see it in the photo) is the same height as ones on land. I don't know about anyone else, but I always send a few over and would send quite a few down to street level if I were playing on there! I'm just waiting for the day when I get hit by one.....

Yeah, they're ugly, but in a good way! What can I say, they're starting to grow on me. An interesting thing about this complex is that the rooms were assembled in modules offsite and brought in.

EDIT: rbdetsport, if you have any questions about 150 W Jefferson, just let me know. I was in contact with Heller-Manus last year when I start to model this building for SimCity 4 and received some good info and prints, including an early design.

Those are looking excellent, especially for infill development. It's great they decided to actually build urban-style homes instead of bland suburban cookie-cutter houses that are all the same style and color. Big porch, right up on street. Me likey.
