^^^ I tell you it is like a whole other city up there on N Tryon Street.  But thanks to much slower growth more historical buildings are left up there and not torn down in other hot areas of uptown.

The Tic-Toc diner (or Grille) was ground level in that building with the contemporary home on the upper levels. Walter Fields IV (Quad!) owned the restaurant until  a few years ago. An older couple bought it from him and that did not last.

That 500 block of North Tryon--the NE side is already great--it just needs to be situated among more intensively developed ones, for people to walk along it and appreciate it. I hope the city realizes that all of those buildings need to be protected.

Can you they at least open this lane on 11st St and remove the barricades along Brevard? This has been under construction for FOUR years and shows no sign of resuming construction.  This is a disgrace.     Why is not at least opened for parking to generate revenue are the rumors of structural problems true???

They still have to finish the cladding on the parking garage so it’s not cleared for occupancy yet. Every square inch around it is currently being designed to accommodate a 12-15 floor apartment building. It’s def not optimal, and frankly don’t know that it’ll ever be resolved.

I do not have any direct experience with this, but I heard or read years ago that it's based on the tax value of the property.

In Levine's defense, considering how long that barren parking deck has been there, I'd give it the "historic" nod.

The old Hall House Barringer Hotel awaits redevelopment and restoration back into a hotel.  I wish this part of the project would get going soon.

Check out the Holston House in Nashville it was made into a boutique hotel by Hyatt. It's very similar to Hall House. Hopefully, we can get something similar it would really help the area

I think that's setup for a temporary art installation part of Charlotte Shout.

This is interesting this silver of land is being marketed and says it can because of soil tests accommodate a 40 PLUS story tower.  I would take a 20 story tower there.  N Tryon and 11st Street inside the loop. 

They should have had @ricky_davis_fan_21 draw up a proposed tower than what they used.
