Those people are misinformed, if you’re referring to the “Charlotte over the years“ page, the majority of the commenters on there are deserving of a sound “ok boomer” and that’s it. (All UP boomers are cool, don’t take offense)

Charlotte Agenda comments is what I saw, mostly citing the affordable housing crisis, and education.

Different pool of money. Also the project it’s part of should see significant affordable housing.

When should we expect to see details about the additional phases?

See previous quote from me. No idea. Nobody can get info. And I've asked around to the folks that would know.

"...but the city, for some reason, seems to be majorly delaying their announcement of the winner. They are 14 months late announcing Metropolitan Partnership, the company with the worst website on the planet, as winner."

I might have something soon though, trying to figure out who the right person in Gov't to talk to is.

In order to get the financial incentives from the city, the garage (and the contracted public parking spaces) has to be delivered by December 31, 2019. Is there actually a chance they’re attempting to hit that deadline? And if the garage itself was up to snuff to be occupied other than the stairwell walls, what in the world took so long to get this delivered?

SO you are saying Daniel Levine is a rent-seeker.  (I hope he reads this)

Oh, sure, that garage totally looks a month away from deliverable completion.

Agree it's still a total shambles, but is it deliverable enough for 400 spaces to be used?

E: Or at least deliverable enough for at least 400 spaces to be approved on paper so they can get their incentive money? Because even if the garage is technically opened, I can't imagine it'll be used for anything other than parking of last resort since it's unfinished and there isn't a particularly safe or pleasant walking path from it to anything nearby.

I never understood why we incentivized a private developer to build parking in the middle of bumf*ck

Most of what Daniel Levine gets from the city is incomprehensible.

Yeah, I mean I guess? As long as you can park a car and get out of the garage without falling into a 4-story hole does that count as deliverable? Nobody's gonna park there.

those spaces are for UNC Charlotte and that was his agreement with the state to provide some for UNC Charlotte uptown campus.

they seem to be getting along just fine without it.
