talked to tom wright the architect of the rosewood condos, he said that the bottom 3 floors is stone and the rest is stucco, they are using pretty good stone too from what it sounded, so I have more faith in this project now

hahahahahaha, well you gotta imagine a building like that in stone would be extremely expensive

not to mention extremely time consuming, I've laid brick, stone and put on stucco, of the three stucco is the easiest and stone is wicked freakin hard, unless you use cheap ass stuff

It's nice in that gothic kind of way. I couldnt live there though, looks haunted.

The tower crane went up this week. Biltmore lite is officially going vertical.

Yep, drove by it a couple days back, the crane's up and everything!

Crane's been there for a while now. They started construction at least a month ago, maybe 2 months ago.

I wonder if they'll leave the old yellow house there or if that will be torn down.

they will probably tear it down. weren't there a bunch of rose bushes everywhere in the front part of the yard? have they torn all that stuff out as well? i would hope they would try and keep the roses. after all, the place is called rosewood.

I believe they are keeping the rose garden, I don't know about the house though.

That is a shame that the namesake of the place is no more. They make keep the roses, but all of the woods that made the property what it was are gone now.

I guess it's just old and some old dude who likes to water roses lived there, so what the heck. Might as well keep it and give it some use as the clubhouse or what have you.

it looks pretty impressive to me. It will certainlly be appealing to its target market. The Charlotte Skyline Shot looks rather grand, an exceptional angle.
