M. Brown for a team that was "cursed" its their 6th and I think puts them solely at 3rd most winning franchise ever (with World championships).

Also something to be proud of for all New Englanders is that Boston joins Pittsburgh (1979) and New York (1969) as only the third city to have a World Series and Super Bowl Champion the same year!

^I agree. Whats even more crazy is that the Patriots played the Rams for the super bowl and now the Red Sox just played the Cardinals for the world series. My current town vs my home town twice.

I wonder if its a sign of who is going to win the election. First Boston wins the Super Bowl with John Edwards State, the Panthers as the runner up. Now Boston is won the World Series for the first time since the early 20th century

But this is great news, Im glad Boston won!
