WIS... no contest.  Craig and Dawn at 11 are fun to watch. Plus, WIS has all the babes, right? lol

I admit I'm a news junkie but I hate the sugary sweet emotive

news anchors. The news media wants you emotionally involved

in their story. Often when watching I feel like my mom is handing

me some guilt trip. The emotional anchor manipulates the viewers.

In particular Diane Sawyer annoys me. I like WIS too but in the AM

Hannah N just seems so phony when delivering the news. I mean

the fact traffic is backed up on I-26 is some terrible tragedy we

have to be told about. Whatever happened to just delivering

the news. I think I will move to Charlotte if the airways

are again full of her singing this Christmas! It's not bad..but it's

on for a whole month.

And of course the news teams all hype themselves so much these

days. They have to be the first with breaking news. Last month

WLTX interrupted Letterman for a fender bender. Just unbelievable.

Now Jennifer M IS a babe.

Hilarious!!! Hannah Nelson is annoying with her extreme facial expressions. lol As is Judy G. I think the Dawn/Craig/Ben/Rick mix is fun watch -- best thing WIS has going.

As for the babe factor: My friend has the hots for JM. I used to be all about Kara... but not so much anymore. As for other stations.. Ainsley on WLTX is a favorite of another friend of mine.

I just can't bear to watch WLTX or WOLO.

I've gotten so sick of WIS in the morning I only watch WLTX.

Scott and Hannah seem to want to be entertainers and

Hilarious. Luckily, I rarely see the morning crew! Hehe.

My friend also has the hots for Angela Mallen -- the fill-in sports chick with the gruff voice. She scares me, but he's seen her in person. I've never spotted any of the news babes, but I see Jack Kuenzie out *everywhere* -- at one point I was convinced he was following me. He looks like Bert from Sesame Street. :)

I dont really watch Columbia news too often since the signal is best reached at night time (coming from Pinehurst or Asheboro NC) if Roanoke/Virignia Beach markets do not interfere:

1. WIS. The channel i can get most often and does have a good newscast. Devotes to SC very well

2. WLTX: dont watch it quite often but its not too shabby

3. WOLO and WACH: seen very few newscast, i rank them 3rd because i dont know much

WIS is achievable along some NC border counties in Richmond, Anson and Union Counties. Certainly at night time, if the atmospheric conditions favor the south and even the east, WIS will come in pretty clear from southern Moore County where im from. This summer (2004), at my girlfriends apartment in Asheboro, Randolph County (15 miles SE of High Point, 25 miles S of Greensboro), we'll get WIS pretty clear up there too if WSLS 10 from Roanoke dosent interfere. Ive even recieved WSPA 7 from Greenville, SC in Asheboro! As well as WDBJ 7 from Roanoke and sometimes WITN 7 from Greenville, NC. Sometimes we wont get WRAL from Raleigh (big powerhouse i think), we'll get WCYB 5 from the Tri Cities in TN instead (primarly morning hours).

Enough TV talk, here are my ratings for the Midlands.

WIS is #1 because thats what ive watched the most. Represents SC very well

WLTX sometimes reaches Moore County, there #2

WACH is last, dont see them much often

WOLO was not too appealing to me.
